I stumbled upon an unexpected and disheartening discovery: a loss of 15,000 sats from my Muun wallet. Now, my focus turns to recovery and, above all, fortifying security measures even further to ensure that such a thing doesn't happen again. The journey continues, and the lesson has been learned in the harshest way possible.

I think we all have to lose sats on our journey, I myself have lost well over 10 million sats fucking around learning lessons and I regret it every day but I value the lessons i learned and they are burned into my brain now

Exactly.
OP indicated that their loss was as a result of a scam, so that's the part I'd like to learn from.
Losing sats while learning about bitcoin is, as you said, part of the journey. But it can and does also happen without involving a scam - likely more often than via scams. User errors mostly.

For sure, user errors, scams, poor purchases, trading the list goes on, there will always be a story about how we could have had more Bitcoin if we didn't do x or y, and always interested in hearing about scams, always good to document them for other users

Depending on how much you've learned from this lesson, 15000 sats may be a relatively small price to pay for the experience. In the current fee environment, it possibly won't even cover the fee for an onchain transaction, for example.
On the other hand, if the loss represented a substantial portion of your stack, I can understand why you could describe it as "the harshest way possible".
Tell us how it happened and what you've learned and we may just send you some sats if we find the lesson valuable.

Fake Update Scam: Received a convincing email claiming to be a critical security update for the Muun wallet. Following the provided link and entering login information gave scammers access, resulting in a loss of 15,000 sats before realizing it was a scam. A harsh lesson in verifying sources and updates before sharing sensitive information.

You sure you lost them and Muun didn't just charge you a high fee? Maybe that fee wasn't disclosed properly?

It's an older screen from a mobile, the fees in Muun are real thieves.
