I like to buy high div stocks when nobody likes them. And they need to have a kind of a monopoly. Like

  • British American Tobacco or Altria
  • Energy plays like Kinder Morgan or Enbridge
  • Kazatomprom
  • Ares Capital is a great div play

Yeah i stopped adding to my VZ position a long time ago. The only thing that is scary about VZ is it’s debt but telecom is heavy capital intensive but it’s needed and the moat is humongous!

I stay in VZ because it’s a 5G play. If 5G is the next data revolution for apps and services then VZ market capitalization should rise
