For the old school sports video game fans- "He's heating up".

It appears the Perth Heat have turned their season around after a dismal start and languishing near the bottom of the ABL standings. They took 3/4 games this weekend against the Brisbane bandits moving the Heat's record to a respectable 10-9 and into 4th place in the ABL.

The Heat won game 1 3-0 and then split a Saturday doubleheader with the Bandits. The Heat securing a 5-1 victory in the first game of the doubleheader and the Bandits punching back to take a 6-2 victory in the second game. In the final game of the series the Heat scored 2 runs late to grab a 6-4 victory.

Game 1- SP Tyler Beardsley with 6 shut out innings and 5 strikeouts. Nice game. Game 2- SP Takahisha Hiyakawa continues his dominance with 7IP, 1ER and an eye popping 13Ks. Wow. Game 3- 1B Jake Bowey who went 1-2 with 2 walks. Game 4- 1B Jake Bowey again! 3-4 with a walk and 2RBIs. Nice series for him.
