My nephew and his girlfriend are aspiring actors. They have been supporting themselves through Rover during the lean stretches. They have a small apartment in an affluent city neighborhood. I am amazed at how many dogs they can accommodate. Through positive reviews it has turned into a pretty lucrative source of income.
Yup. If I lost my full time job, I'm pretty sure I would still be able to support myself through Rover alone. I haven't even begun to take more than one dog at a time. It is surprisingly lucrative. I should note that Rover takes 20%....but once you build up a customer base and gain their trust you can transact off the app to avoid the fee! The nice part about sticking with rover is the accident insurance you get through them if anything goes wrong...so there's risk if you skip the fee.
