Just reached out on Twitter. The list button lead to a 404 page. Looks really cool from initial inspection! Will play with it more tomorrow.

i’m hosting Morgan (founder of Store.app) on a pod next week to learn more about what he’s building. what questions should i ask him?

reply

Curious his opinions on Apple / iOS. Safari is just honestly a terrible platform for even a PWA. Bugs and restrictions that other browsers don't have, it's like they are extending their app store dominance over into the PWA experience. That and safari WebView is forced upon everyone on iOS. Most of our bugs come from safari iOS and there's almost no fixes as they are underlying platform bugs. Some known issues for years, like using camera in PWA sometimes goes out and requires a phone restart to fix.

Also just curious about his motivation and long term goals in general.

I wish they had a tag for free and open-source applications, since I try to avoid non-free programs, even on the web.

Wow, looks great. Bookmarked.

Cool indeed

Is it for a particular OS or just every phone

reply

It’s a directory of progressive web apps. So yes, these should work on all devices with a modern browser, including desktops and GNU/Linux phones.

My eye strain decreased significantly when I stopped using dark mode...

reply

Naw, you guys are doing it all wrong. You just need to turn off your monitors and switch to a screen reader.

Eye strain is a conspiracy by Big Monitor. Remove the chains from your eyes.
