Ah thanks for clearing that up. It's weird because I was trying to figure them out, and actually saw multiple references to them in the CLN readme. e.g. https://lightning.readthedocs.io/lightning-listchannels.7.html

Just to be clear, we do have short channel ids, but what we need is short channel id aliases which we are just seeing PRs for.

Tony, I appreciate your work, so I have also a question for you (if you read this message).
This probing test (I know it was done with good intentions) could affect also the normal course of path finding, pending HTLCs and unexplained/no reason for force closures of channels?

Grants. I don't know how much Tony discusses their work publicly, but AFAIK this is a weekend/nights project and they otherwise have a paying job.

I would forward any earned sats to Tony, but he's either left SN all together or is operating under another nym here. I hope it's the latter.
Anyhow, I got to see an early POC demo of this at the Pleb Lab hackathon a couple months ago. Really impressed with the followthrough.
