I struggle to remember what math exactly I studied throughout grade school... seems like we always repeated the basic concepts over and over again.

I never really felt like I started building on any math knowledge until we started Algebra, which I feel like I could have taken much earlier.

As a math teacher, I see this first hand. Thanks for sharing the article. I just shared it with my department and we may even show admin. We are truly doing our best at educating the students here at the high school (NH). It's very challenging when they come up here already behind (some testing even as low as the 2nd grade level...as 9th graders).
