On mobile, PWA. But I spend most of my time on desktop in the browser. So both would be my answer.

lol, good point, I pressed the one I was currently using, lol :)
reply
Yeah, same.

Same here!

PWA is such a game changer for me. was consuming mobile web before and the experience was so tough to be/stay logged in so I couldn’t zap/post easily. now i’m sorted and feel like i’m flying!
reply
Thanks, one of the first things I did when I joined SN I believe :)
Seeing people using the PWA makes me happy :)

This will probably get me in trouble, but is this information available from SN’s anonymized analytics?

Mhh, I don't think so. At least I can't think of how any request to us could look different if used on a mobile browser vs PWA.
Since a PWA is still a browser, just in a different display mode.
But haven't done any research on this, so don't count on me, lol :)
This will probably get me in trouble
Trouble from who? :)

Good point, there’s probably not much to distinguish, if anything.
Trouble from who? :)

Both on PWA and Website
reply
Just started using the PWA and I must say that I think this is the way to go.
reply
Isn't a PWA a website though? it's literally the same.
reply
Kinda but not really. For example you get push notifications when installed as a PWA.
reply
That's the progressive (P) part of the PWA acronym. It works as a website as a minimum, then it adds more and more features gradually depending on what it can do based on the user preferences and other things.
reply
PWA works so well I haven't been on desktop in a bit

Cool username.

Better book

Agreed.

I gotta try this site in the browser some day
reply
I'd use PWA's more if they worked on stock/custom ROM's the way they do on One UI, or even iOS God forbid; also doesn't help that Google made it so that on any Android version where you're not logged in PWA's are cursed with the browser icon in the bottom right.
Fuck Google, and their continued enshitification of the few good products they still have.
reply
We need a third option on this poll - BOTH
reply
I'm a power user so on both PWA and Website. I will use on any format should it be available
reply
ya pwa is the best it’s ever been great work 👏👏
reply
I'm using it on website and I love the experience so far
reply
Mostly on Website so that I don't miss anything
reply
PWAs are not perfect but are much more censorship resistant than apps in app stores.
reply
Website, mainly cos with PWA I have to log in everytime I wanna use it.
reply
That shouldn’t be the case
reply
maybe not, I just feel more comfortable to keep logged on the browser and save that step. It seems I'm not the only one havin' troubles with the loggin' anyways. Stay humble.
reply
I only meant that maybe there’s a bug in the software that should be investigated is all
reply
Oh I got it now. Yeah It seems like it's. Let's give them time to solve it.
reply
This is the first time we hear of this bug I believe.
We need more information from you to fix that bug, lol.
Are you using incognito?
What browser, what OS, which authentication method do you use?
Do you immediately get logged out if you close the PWA?
reply
No incognito, safari, two methods LN wallet or mail both are immediately logged out if I close the PWA. @sebastix wrote a comment below within similar bug seems like.
reply
Mail authentication on Safari does indeed not work, but you shouldn't even be able to login like this.
Login with lightning should work though.
Do you have some privacy settings enabled in your browser? Such that cookies should get deleted when your session closes?
PWA both on mobile on desktop. Chrome and Android got me used to use my websites as apps (usually with their own tabs on desktop).
reply
PWA on the phone, website on the computer.
reply
Website (mobile) cause logging in with the PWA does not work for me
website mostly.
