Because we're all a bunch of gamer nerds, and injecting a little competitive pizzazz would be fun!
Being able to see where you're at on the leaderboard would help rile people up to stack more, and increase site engagement by getting the competitive juices flowing a bit. Win-win for stackers and SN!
We had those on hot/top originally and removed them. I think I left the code there so maybe we can turn it back on on top.
