Why start a business when I can stack Bitcoin, right?

Starting a business is usually irrational and I don't mean that in a bad way. It's just that you usually start a business because ... you want to start a business.
Chances are all of you will have more bitcoin than me and I'm okay with that because I'd rather do this than have more bitcoin.

I wonder how much I joined SN just to leave my previous company because it became too big; just to feel more sovereign again 🤔

The bloated feeling of a big company is so bad.
I much prefer smaller, lean companies.

I realized I might need to leave sooner than later when the CEO no longer responded to my private messages, lol
We used to just talk about the early days of the company (it started as 5 lines of bash) when we were the only ones still in the office ...

If you have goods or services to offer, you can start a business.
It's just as simple as that.
These days everything gets over complicated, but many businesses don't have to be like that.

I recommend only starting a bitcoin business if truly passionate in what your building. Also if you have this “absolute need to build it.” Perfect example I literally had this aha moment at a meetup tonight. Then decided to come back to the lab, to flesh it out further took me 4hrs. A normal person wouldn’t do that. You have to really believe and love what your building. I personally believe for me I get great joy in seeing all the people around me become “successful” in whichever way that means for them. What I’m trying to say is live your best life and don’t waste not building the thing you want to see in the world. If thats what you want to do. I personally want to see a bitcoin standard in my lifetime and I know the fastest way to do that is help as many builders and people as I can to achieve that goal. That’s why I do what I do. KISS method always works.

I have been a teacher all my working life, so I can say that I was never drawn to entrepreneurship because I was already helping students improve themselves on a daily basis. Entrepreneurship, to me, seemed too onerous. There would be one thousand and one things for the founder to manage, including administrative and logistical tasks, not to mention relationship management with clients and colleagues.
Not that teaching is any easier but the good thing about it is that once I finish my work at the end of the day, I don’t have to think about it during the evening. Also, school holidays are protected time in Singapore. We are “forbidden” from doing work so that we can recharge our body and mind.
But now that I’m in my early 40s, the prospect of being an entrepreneur appeals a lot to me. I think teaching is meaningful, but as I grow older, I feel a greater need to create something that can only be produced by me and leave a legacy behind in the world. Of course, I’m sure when I pass on, some students will testify about how I have made a difference in their lives. But I want to control my destiny rather than leave it to the whims of my students.
I want to take writing more seriously and become a well-regarded Bitcoin writer. Of course, there are many people whose writing is more polished than mine. However, I also think that the pie is large enough for all levels of writers. I will work hard to gain my fair share.

A profitable business is essentially a bitcoin multiplication machine. Anyone who is debating investing in business vs. stacking more is debating the wrong kind of business.

Free entrepreneurship is the core part of the motor of any society. It helps getting rid of scarcety by providing things we need the most efficient way. Rich cultures always developed a culture of free entrepreneurship that cultivated values like frugality, thrift courage, conservatism. Max Weber provided an important sociological analysis.

Some friends asked me to start a business with them because of my skills but I refused, it's a bother personally, also being the only person with technical knowledge and a low budget would be too risky anyway.
I also thought about how can I be independent monetarily without starting a business and without working for a company.
Being a freelance is basically a one person company so that is out, passive income works but I don't have enough to get the gears going if not for little things.
What do you think?

You start a business because you have an idea you really want to test in the market, you have no other option or because you think you can do something better than the current offerings, its a lot of pain to be honest working and stacking is a lot easier, but if you're into it, it has its own rewards sometimes monetary, sometimes time freedom, sometimes flexiblity, it depends on what you value most

I think it's good to be one step ahead of the future. When others think about creating a business over the years, you will already have your business established. I want to start one but I still haven't decided what to base it on.

no, I think building something helpful for others is really fulfilling, something even Bitcoin can't buy.
starting a business is about idea testing and exercising creativity for me, and an opportunity to stack more skills - doing something I enjoy and learning more skills then to stack Bitcoin is more fun than simply stack Bitcoin.

I've started from scratch several times, and these days I'm doing the same, but this time alone, with no bank accounts in mind, and on Bitcoin only!
The only thing I'd be able to add right now is that I think literally everything will be different, and I'll get around to mapping that out.
Will write something on Bitcoin cashflow soon, compared to liquidity management and business modelling in a fiat startup that will be wild & weird AF!
