No worries, I think the current notification that was indicated above actually solves it for me then. Catches conversations I'm no longer apart of. It might catch others that might pertain to me too but I'll take it.
If you don't mind asking, do you have push notifications enabled?

I did, would turn it off every so often if there was an influx of unrelated notifications. Will turn it on again with this setting turned off to see if it helps.
