You're mind isn't playing tricks on you. There wereofficial murmurings, in 2022, that the Central African Republic (CAR) was the second nation to make legal tender... but I think that turned out only to be a CBDC called Sango.
Also, I knew that Honduras last year made a small part of it's nation a 'Special Economic Zone' read a Reuter's piece here.
But it's never caught the public imagination as ES.
We'll see how it goes, or rather who goes, next.
