Gold (or Bitcoin which will judge gold) is the most incorruptable judge of the intrinsic value of the euro. With the introduction of the single currency, a continuous process of purchasing power erosion began that shows no sign of reversing. The eurosystem clearly needs a higher rate of currency debasement as the USD which is the relevant benchmark.
