Just like in-person meetings, online meetings/conferences should be emails instead. If your users won't read an email, then they certainly won't pay attention during a conference/meeting. But at least an email can be read piecemeal at any time, thus reducing fatigue.
I bought a fart toy recently and I'm gonna start using it during monthly company-wide online meetings. And next time they do a company-wide in-person get-together, I'll hand out fart toys to anyone that shows up. If they fire me over thus, then I'll have a hilarious story to tell people for the rest of my life.
The fart noises will continue until all meetings become emails.
