AI isn't the only thing. Google had search and Apple makes hardware. I'd say Google has a greater potential to lose its place than Apple. Really seems like Microsoft is going for AI hard. So far what OpenAI has built is the next evolution in answering questions that search used to own. Not without some big tradeoffs but if I were running Google I'd be concerned.
