pull down to refresh

The film "Love Strange Love," directed by Walter Hugo Khouri in 1982, has been outlawed since its initial release in the 1980s.
The main source of trouble was one incident in particular: Xuxa, who was eighteen at the time, lived with Tamara, a sixteen-year-old who was forced into prostitution and had sex with a twelve-year-old boy.
This scene may appear a little out of place if you view it devoid of context. That's hardly what one would anticipate from a Khouri (1929-2003) picture. His films are highly stylish, from the plot to the way each scene is made. Think of them as a cross between Ingmar Bergman and Michelangelo Antonioni. It's all done with a touch.
