I got into this with the lead council of a very big financial firm who was advising me, as I take the position that Bitcoin is speech and fiat rules can GFY.
While he understands that sentiment, he also stated that there is case law to nail us as money transmitters. (US)
This law could be challenged at the Supreme Court level, but that obviously requires a big sack both in terms of money and stones.
I was literally in a court saying this... and I walked away free.
(except the Vader costume)
They do not have power over us... is just our belief that can have power.
I presented them a simple piece of paper with an affidavit.
The whole court was speechless.
