What would it take to add Bitcoin Lightning Network payments to the reserved ‘HTTP 402 Payment Required’ response code? I assume we need to flesh out the specs and add it to browsers?

I guess there isn’t much standardization around how to fulfill payment but mere conventions should suffice.
