I'm going to interpret this as "things most people don't know, that are incredibly useful to know".
Here's mine - it's often much easier to completely avoid something that's bad for you, than to just be "moderate" with it. For instance - completely avoiding packaged junk food, eating not one bite, is MUCH easier and less stressful than being "moderate" (i.e., eating some here and there, and always thinking about when to stop).

That general principle is true i'd agree, but it's always the first push that's the most difficult, certainly is harder than after youve formed the habit.
Reading the War of Art made this crystal clear to me. And made it much easier to tackle bad habits/form good ones
