The majority of people remain indifferent to the whole thing and don't care one way or the other, and these kinds of things being reported on in hyperbolic and exaggerated tones as they tend to be, are typically seen from said majority as some kind of lame dick-measuring contest; where the winner gets to claim to be "the best" crypto project/blockchain/whatever.
