Just imagine that you wake up one day and you're going to send some SATs to buy something Online and you find out that your SATs are gone....
What would you do if this happens to you?
Nothing. Life goes on. Will start over stacking.
reply
reflect what went wrong, avoid those mistakes, and earn the sats back again.
reply
Um what sats. I don’t have any sats, don’t ask me anymore questions

What Bitcoin?

I would use another wallet. Do not put all the sats in one place. If you lose all sats from all wallets, then you may have a hacker, a virus or something else, so you need to restart everything and do things differently. Learn more security for your keys.

First I checked again. Then I checked mempool.space to make sure it wasn't a wallet problem. If it was still confirmed that the satoshis had gone, then I would take 3 deep breaths, take a break for a few days and then decide to do it with a clear head.

Good answer. Always is good to take some time to think and breath.

I'd never take them on a boating trip ever again

I guess I would have to start accumulating again

Figure out what I did wrong and then consider it the price of learning a very valuable lesson.

Stay humble and stack sats.
reply
Keep stacking.

I know that the right thing to do is to start over.
But, I'm sure that the mental challenge would be huge...to gain confidence in yourself and in the protocol would be no an easy task.
Maybe some people would have some issues trusting the wallets and the self custody.
