Bitcoin will never be "worth in x..." Bitcoin is energy stored in the most brilliant way. Energy that you trade for other type of energies (time, food, shelter, tools, materials).
What you accumulate today in sats is what you will exchange for other energy into your future. Is only about how you measure yourself the value of that other type of energy expressed in sats.
Who is selling you a good or service will ask you for a PRICE. You, will evaluate the VALUE of that good/service in energy units (sats) that you afford to spend.
It's all about FREE MARKET not about "fiat worth it".
Yeah. But if you went to the supermarket today to buy 1 kilo of oranges, how many sats would you pay?

In this transition period, when fiat still exist, the merchant will start his LN wallet, put the amount in fiat and instantly will be shown the amount in sats.
Later, you will negotiate with your local grocery store to show you the prices in sats directly. They will adjust them every week or so, according to their costs for buying the goods from suppliers.
Slowly all these merchants, if are trained well, will display prices only in sats and will adjust them based on demand and supply offers.
It's all about how they start doing this process and YOU as a bitcoiner have a very important role into all this, because you are the one that should create these bitcoin circular economies, don't wait for your lovely gov to declare bitcoin "legal tender" (that's total bullshit).

Yes, it will be a huge journey. My hunch is that we won't be on this planet anymore when that happens. I hope I'm wrong.

As I said, ALL depends on you, the bitcoiner. If you just sit and cry that x merchant do not take your sats, it is YOUR own fault that doesn't happen.
