Given your current relationships and everyone you know in life...

Let's say CBDCs magically become law tomorrow. What percentage of your network is joining the dark side?

How well have you done at orange pilling?

Realistically and seriously now. I think that 90% of people, in general, will accept CBDC in a blink of an eye.

Around me? Maybe 70% and with a bit more work maybe 60%.

As I said many times: bitcoin wiill be the underground currency, only for brave. Will be really hard times. Soon.

bitcoiners are the 3%rs of the 21st century

why don't you ask this those people I originally posted... do you think they will agree with you?

I don't see "adoption" as a binary variable. I expect that basically everyone who currently uses fiat will use the CBDC version of that fiat. Some will try to do more transactions with Bitcoin or gold or whatever, but most of our salaries will be in CBDC under this scenario.

Am I missing what you meant by "ADOPT"?

reply

Indeed, is kinda weird to say "adopt" CBDC when they will be forced anyways. And those trapped into the scam, without being prepared with a good amount of BTC, will have to live a nightmare.

Many people still do not realize what really are CBDC, how dangerous and tyrannical could be. Those thinking that will escape from CBDC and dump them for BTC, are fooling themselves: YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BUY BTC WITH CBDC. Are tied to your identity, that means EVERYTHING you buy, will be verified, approved, vouched by a central entity. You cannot move CBDC between individuals just like that. CBDC are literally social credits! https://i.postimg.cc/Kz5LgbVL/social-points.jpg

reply

Even in the most totalitarian regimes there are black markets, so it's not totally hopeless, but they won't make it easy to dump digital dollars.

reply

Of course. Bitcoin will be the currency for underground markets. I already started something like that around me. Is not perfect, but in case of "disaster" people are prepared and they know what should do. Now we are just playing around and testing. But I am not sure if many are prepared like that, with a minimum local community trading in BTC.

reply

How many people adopted face muzzles during a fake pandemic.?

reply

A good 99% of people will accept it, for the same reason they keep using fiat today. Worst, most people will not even see any difference between old fiat and digital fiat.

CBDCs will become common (and enforced by law) in most developed countries circa 2025. That's why the window for Bitcoin to succeed as a real alternative is shrinking. We need to onboard at least 500M people before CBDCs become mainstream. Not a done deal.

reply

If anything they will probably think it's better...will hate on bitcoin even harder

reply

It's basic math:

C + B + D + C = 666

reply

checks out

reply

I think there will be a lot of pushback but most people will just capitulate and use them.

reply

If a CBDC has all the scams of crypto like airdrops & staking most people will sign up.

Unless normie perception on privacy & self responsibility changes (ie they wake up!), CBDC's will be popular.

The good news IMO is that they are still many years away.

reply

remember how many people willingly scanned their eyeballs for a random company for $25...

reply

Which was a lot of money for most of those people.

But yes, it was a bad deal

reply

Unless you live in a state/country that specifically bans the activity, most people are going to be forced into it. Sure, the hardcore bitcoiners will pull out of the system and pay a premium to manage paying for everything in bitcoin without ever touching fiat infrastructure, but most people, even if they are convinced of bitcoin as the future, are not going to stop using bank accounts and credit cards.

reply

they'll be shuffled in so seamlessly it wont feel like force at all

reply
How well have you done at orange pilling?

it is curious you ask this because yesterday, I tried to orange pill a person I care, and I failed miserably. I think I was very good at it but failed anyway. I think some people are not ready yet and may never be ready. They will be very happy owning nothing and with their CBDCs. I fear it is not some people like this, but the majority of people.

reply

Never think that is your fault for the failure. Is their fault not being able to see the real shit.

reply

Maybe after a couple more NgU cycles you'll have more success

reply

Never heard anyone WANTING to adopt it, as few people understand what it is .... but I guess the majority will (driven by incentives - govt airdrop or something like that)

reply

I can imagine 5% of the people I know going full bitcoin standard under a CBDC regime. Currently 0.66% (1 person) of the people I know, in a Dunbar's number sense, operate on a full bitcoin standard.

reply

5% is still great assuming it's the right people

What'll probably happen is the other 95% gets forced into CBDCs, only to later be forced out by bitcoin lol

reply

Everyone.

reply

Whatever percentage of people gleefully enjoy google amazon facebook, etc. Seems were surrounded by idiots. And these idiots are... lots of close friends and family that are way more educated and successful than i. Wtf is going on
