Yes bitwage is a custodial way. Is just a step ahead for those who want to start the journey of being paid in bitcoin. That journey is not easy. Took me years and years of preparations. In the beginning yes I used bitwage, until my clients start paying me in bitcoin directly.
What you miss the point of bitwage is that the bank account where your payers arr sending fiat is NOT in your name. I think you do not yet realize that advantage. You have much to learn.

Why do you care if gov knows about that? You receive btc straight to your own wallet. Nobody can take it from there of say anything about your property. Is totally meaningless if gov knows about your btc.

The downside is people like Elisabeth Warren or other bitcoin haters can ask Bitwage to disclose people using the services using an excuse like terrorism or pedophilia or anything else. If Bitwage comply giving names and addresses to people working for the government, they can track you down in real life and do harmful thinks. I guess that's what @Onions is trying to avoid at any cost. No trace, no worries.

This. Id rather have a hacker know i have bitcoin than government. They can make up some new law and put me in prison, constitution is just a piece of toiler paper. Politicians will come for my bitcoin one day.

Criminals looking for your BTC stash are more dangerous than govs.

And my answer is simple: who the fuck are you to ask me about my money, my result of my hard working labor? Please show me any document that prove your authority or jurisdiction over my bitcoins. GTFO you have no power over my bitcoin.

I surely agree with you. But the point here is that government and banksters are like mafia, they can print money and buy services to kill people based on metadata. NSA is already doing it. https://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2014/05/ex-nsa-chief-we-kill-people-based-on-metadata
There is also this true story, the guy went into jail for selling bitcoin, he wanted to comply and acted in good faith to prove everything that could be proven. But it was not enough "The feds say any transaction using "digital virtual convertible currencies" requires a money transmitter license." https://bitcoinmagazine.com/culture/doctor-bitcoin-jailed-for-selling
We live in a crazy world with crazy people. Let's hope for the best and that no one else got harmed. So the more people are going full bitcoin, the better as it will cost them a lot to put every BTC holder in prison.
Thank you @DarthCoin for all the material and documentation you are providing to help people onboard on the orange pill journey.
reply
They went to jail because they also believe in the authority and the so called justice system that is providing anything else but justice.
The whole point is where you position yourself. If you don't know WHO you are you will always lose.

Is this a more accurate picture of how you would like things to look?
They are gods. You are a slave. As much as you try to run away from tirany, they can come and take your freedom if they wish. No one is truly free in this world.

Great review. I think bitwage has an edge because of the international customers they can serve. Because you can use cash app and strike to get “paid in bitcoin”

I'm using Bitwage because Darthcoin said so :-). It's a lot easier than trying to spend my bank's my fiat stored in my bank. They are really suspicious if they think I'm spending my fiat their fiat on Bitcoin.

It's a joke @Onions. I researched and tried other ways to stock up on Bitcoin. Bitwage is the easiest way to automatically move your whole paycheck into cold storage. I like it because it never touches my regular bank. I'm slowly spending all my bank's my fiat and not replenishing it.

I don’t believe Darthcoin that he doesn’t have a bank account. How does he pay his mortgage? His utilities? His credit cards? I call bullshit
reply
I use CashApp for all my banking needs.
reply
This is interesting. Because Mr. DarthCoin was so toxic about Standard Sats Fiat channels, which should allow people actually avoid fiat because of its most used feature -- relatively stable purchasing power. And since there are no tokens, Fiat channels may also allow people to avoid using stablecoins. It is like 10101 DLC channels but much cheaper, albeit custodial.
reply
I tried getting into it at one point, but decided against it. It didn't mesh well with my employer and it's easier to just direct deposit then stack non-KYC sats.
reply
Personally I don't really see the point of this service at all, more than convenience. Right now I hove to actively buy btc, while using bitwage is automatic.
Does bitwage have a daily DCA option? Can't really find information on their site how their service works lol wtf.
reply
It's a per paycheck DCA. You tell them where to send it. You can also have a percentage sent to a regular bank as fiat.
