I could watch and be with dogs all day and never get fed up. It's often said that dogs are sensitive to their owners' emotions. What would it be like if, with basic technology, we could understand our pets better? This Boston Globe article brought back memories of myself reading Planet of the Apes novels - where the apes begin to realize that humans are as advanced as themselves.
Would knowing more about the inner life of our pets bring about joy or pain?
It looks like the jury might still be out on this one - however, just as in the Ape novels, the truth might be too painful and destabilizing to fully acknowledge.
She would say "all I ask in return is for friendship".

Sure looks that way - I've clicked on the photo at least six times to make sure!
I can't help but smile when looking at their expressive little faces...

i'm pretty sure i can already tell he's thinking:
"sisters are the worst"
"what's going on with that sandwich?"
"what do you mean by dog bed?"

That second one truly had me laughing out loud - it was only then that I saw the drool...
For me dogs are truly hilarious. We've evolved together for many reasons I feel...
Thanks for sharing your beautiful pup pics!

I have a coworker who got some of the those word buttons for dogs and it sounds super annoying. Like giving a 3 year-old a button that says candy that they can push over and over and over.

Those dopermines are strong in us all - however many legs we've got. But so is feeling heard after all these years - what a potent combination.
