Mulisig will stop attackers from stealing your bitcoin, but like in one of these stories they will still beat the sh$t out of you.

I'd suggest keep a pretty low profile. Sometimes I meet bitcoiners from the 2011-13 era who will casualty tell me they have 50 or so BTC. Its not a good idea to brag about that stuff.
