Last night was a good night of sports for me. The insufferable Leafs lost (they are playing poorly again which is wonderful) and the Raptors won. There were a handful of other compelling NBA games last night as well.
Speaking of NBA. Make sure you get your picks in for the second round of the NBA in-season tournament pool. In case you missed @Undisciplined's post, you can find it here #308920.
Looks like a riveting TNF matchup tonight but I will probably watch some of it regardless of how bad the teams are. I will post the week 10 pick 'em contest tomorrow. Let's see who can take the title from our champ @POTUS
Did you guys hear about this idea to add flag football to the Olympics? Seems ridiculous to me but NFL seems to be pushing it. Thoughts?
Sats for all.
Cheers, GR
Isn't flag football already approved? I'm fine with it, but I also like 3 on 3 Olympic basketball.
I think the NFL is treating flag football as something like a gateway drug. I've noticed they're pushing it especially hard for high school girls. It seems savvy to me, because they need to reverse the trend of anti-football moms.

Yes, it looks like it was approved a few weeks ago. Thought it was still under submission, my mistake.
NFL gearing up to launch WNFFL.

I had no idea when it got approved, but they were talking about it during one of the NFL games this season.
I think the NFL is much smarter than the NBA and know that no one wants to see women play flag football. They just want the next generation of boys to have moms who like football.

I know in Canada we have had a big drop off of kids playing hockey. A few reasons, one is potential injury, two is cost and thirdly is kids hockey had gotten really toxic with parents screaming at their kids from the stands and fights breaking out and parents going after refs after the game. It had gotten crazy.

My brother was a very good hockey player and that was children's hockey culture back in the 80's too.

That TNF game was baaaaaad.

Hahaha about what I expected. I only watched the second half. My wife forgot to pick up something at the store and knowing how bad that game was going to be I volunteered to go get it. Cost me $26 but well worth it to miss some of that game. As soon as I got back I took the dog for a walk and got my daughter ready for bed so it was a productive first half. Sadly when I did sit down to watch I thought "oh halftime and it's a close game, maybe this won't be too bad" WRONG.

Man I watched a woman’s flag football game Mexico vs. USA on YouTube and Mexico spanked us! I was in complete shock! So I am hoping we can bring home gold and win American honor back in flag football

Better than watching the Panthers v.s Bears.
