Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, a professional basketball player from Canada, is allegedly suing the owners of the lakefront property that was once owned by Ontario's self-described "crypto king," Aiden Pleterski. Gilgeous-Alexander claims in his lawsuit that the unnamed owners of the property neglected to reveal Pleterski's tenancy in the $45,000-per-month home. The National Basketball Association (NBA) star says that a victim of Pleterski's defunct cryptocurrency investment scheme threatened him, according to a CBC story. Additionally, Gilgeous-Alexander stated that he was made aware of Pleterski's occupantship of the property when his girlfriend informed the authorities about the menacing visit.Upon learning this, Gilgeous-Alexander and his girlfriend are said to have vacated the $8.4 million property and filed the lawsuit. The basketball player insists the property owners’ alleged misrepresentation is enough to void the sale agreement.
