Normally, this post would be for our Tuesday picks. However, this week there are no games on Tuesday, because US Election Day is an NBA holiday. Does it matter to them that it's an off cycle year or that polls are closed by the time games tip-off? No, no it doesn't.

So the purpose of this post is to share our thoughts about the first day of the tournament and to make fun of @siggy47 for blowing his first pick.

If you want to argue the legitimacy of the call, it probably should have been called goaltending against the Thunder instead of successful basket, because Giddey touched and grabbed the net before Green touched the rim. Either way, it was a good basket, and the Warriors won fair and square.

Just watched it and I don't see why it was such a big deal. You're right about the Thunder player clearly interfering more and first, plus the shot was basically already in. Seems like sour grapes.
