the stunning thing is that even those that get on the ark, some of them, are jumping back in the water, thinking that they can swim for a while and come back onboard....

The truth is that they get eaten by sharks and even if they escape from the sharks, the walls of the ark are too high to jump back, so they get drowned easily.
