I keep seeing mentions of unhosted wallets as if that was a bad thing. I think we should use the term non-hostage wallets instead to be more accurate.

Un-hosted, self-hosted, etc.—it's all semantic nonsense meant to signal that self-sovereignty is wrong. Reject and ridicule those who use these terms. 'Non-hostage' is a great addition to the arsenal.

The usual terminology is 'custodial' or 'non-custodial'.
