As a quick back of the envelope calculation S&P 500 index market cap is around $38T and BTC's is around $0.5T. So when I see S&P 500 drop 0.5% and Bitcoin drop a similar amount, in real dollar terms the stock market is having a much worse day. Similar logic also when markets are up, BTC has to move much more than equities to be comparable. Or am I thinking of this the wrong way and the absolute percent does matter even when comparing the performance of two very differently capitalized markets?
