Thanks to Satoshi, we have something else to celebrate today. The Bitcoin Whitepaper, released 15 years ago in this day to the cryptography mailing list, marks its official introduction into the world.
Satoshi introduces Bitcoin as an electronic cash system with several important properties: double-spending is prevented with a peer-to-peer network; no mint or other trusted parties; participants can be anonymous; new coins are made from Hashcash style proof-of-work; the proof-of-work for new coin generation also powers the network to prevent double-spending.
The Bitcoin Whitepaper can be read here and here forever.
And if you really like to wake up early tomorrow November 1st, make sure you indeed celebrate the Bitcoin Logo Day!
On this day in 2010, an unknown artist under the handle "bitboy" (ot the one you thinking about) shares one of the best brand images of all time for free on the Bitcointalk forum. You can view the post here. or below better, as still having found a screenshot!
True is that pumpkins are orange too... there was one on that post too. So instead of hollow a scary face on it, think about placing a beautiful â‚¿. Let's make pumpkin B-carving one of the most time-honored traditions on this day. It was a thing time ago... it was #BitcoinWeen.
Try to avoid the noise and hope that
MAY THE â‚¿ITCOIN BE WITH YOU!
Thanks for these nuggets of information! I didn’t know the significance of these two dates
