good way to get into mining without all the headaches of actually mining

I dont get it. Why not just buy btc instead?

Great question.
Rigly is a marketplace to buy hashrate and mine bitcoin.
  • Hashrate is sold via auction, based on future difficulty epoch, so itโ€™s possible to take a risk on future hashprice and earn a profit.
  • You can also buy spot hashrate and mine right now - this wonโ€™t earn a profit in most pools, but itโ€™s a cheap way to try out mining.
Weโ€™re also hosting a block party on 10/31, where you can solo mine with our team and try to win a block (6.25 btc + tx fees!) ๐ŸŽ‰
This is all to say, Rigly makes it possible to mine bitcoin without buying hardware - and without the risk of getting rugged (payments are held in multisig escrow while hashrate is delivered)
^ note: Rigly is my project

Update: The website went offline this morning, and the hashrate I rented went to 0. Would you consider reimbursing for the downtime? Not sure how to contact you with the website being down.

Also note we do see some hashrate offline from one of our mining farm partners. Your mining term will auto-extend for any downtime.

thanks, no problem. I tried the instant hashrate this time. Question about the auction, does the mining start when you purchase the contract, or does it not start until the date on the contract? I'm not exactly sure how that works.
reply
For auctions, the hashrate starts on the date of the Auction's epoch -- see the title and "profile" tab for details.

I'm using it with Braiins pool. Seems to be working.

This seems incredibly cool.

Sure - it goes down momentarily when we roll out updates. Maybe you just caught it at a bad time?
In any case, your hashrate will auto-extend for any downtime. Please feel free to reach out to hello@rigly.io for more details.

Ok, no problem. Thanks for the quick response! Your website is working again, but the hashrate hasn't started back up yet, but I'm sure it will.
