This is for the other degenerate sports betters out there.
Free Bitcoin has some NFL games to bet on every week. I can't tell why they don't have them all. They also have monthly Bitcoin price bets.
The mechanism is similar to what I've discussed with @ekzyis, elsewhere: the site just pays out the pool of bets to the winners in proportion to how much they wagered. There is a neat wrinkle, where there's an odds boost for placing earlier bets.
Here are some hypothetical Week 7 bets I may or may not have made:
Saints L (odds=2.6) Browns W (odds=1.4) Ravens W (odds=1.7) Pats W (odds=7.5) Bucs L (odds=1.6) Chiefs W (odds=1.3) Dolphins L (odds=2) Vikings W (odds=7)
Total ROI=2.35
This week (Week 8), here's who I may or may not be betting on: Cowboys Jaguars Commies Pats 49ers Chiefs Raiders
Thanks for this heads up. I need my fix

I'm still feeling out the odds mechanism, but I'm currently thinking the early bet boost makes taking the underdogs the way to go.

I will give it a shot. I thought some one was working on a lightning sports betting site, similar to lightning markets where you can do micro bets over lightning. That would be awesome. I am not a big gambler but I wouldn't mind making a 1000 sat bet here and there for Football Sunday.

I didn't even start at 1000 sats, but this week I decided to go for it. Just remember that the odds displayed can change dramatically over the rest of the week.

Do they have lightning deposit? I have gone to this site before and had an account but never use it.

Shockingly, no. Last I checked they have no LN integration.

Alright I bet 1000 sats on some underdogs and 2000 sats on some favourites. Lets see how it works out in the end.
