Recent data from the European Central Bank (EZB) underscores a concerning trend: Corporate lending in the Eurozone is slowing. Credit granted to non-financial companies increased only at a rate of 0.2% annually, a decline from 0.7% in August. Despite this, there's a silver lining: Loan volumes rose by €14 billion compared to the previous month, which saw a decrease of €20 billion. For households, the credit volume increased by 0.8%, split between housing loans at 0.2% and consumer credits at 3.1%.
