Yep, my favorite tool now is an actual notebook with a pen!
These shining new tools are fun and cool, but are distractions too.
I use a notebook and pen too, I have a locker full of them with notebooks going back to 2006. I use them to order my thoughts and sparkle creativity. But those books does not fit my personal knowlegde management requirements. Like making my notes searchable for later use and edit them with new insights.
I don't agree they are a distraction, these tools are making me way more productive with processing data => information => knowledge => wisdom (saved in my head). It's really a second brain because I know my brains are not build to memorize everything.

I used to be a productive tool nerd 🤓 but the reality is there are always something new every year; just the idea of migrating the notes kills so much energy and the time needed to adapt the new ways to use them, not to mention your notes are on someone's cloud = no privacy.
For me, it is a pen + notebook & pain text for digital files, but do choose what works the best for you:)

yes, they do make you feel like this, but also easily leading to a lot of accumulated information, because hey it's so easy to add info to these tools.
For me, I like to find the hints from information ( but I don't store them ) then use my own way verifying them, then wrote down what I've learned and slowly climbing up the ladder; I like to do regular clean ups - getting rid of the noise, maybe less is more?
