The MLB championship series have certainly both taken a turn and gotten compelling with the Astros winning 3 in a row after going down 0-2 and the Dbacks winning 2 in a row after going down 0-2. Hard to see the Dbacks being able to beat Wheeler and Nola in the next two games but who knows?

The Diamondbacks have some awfully ugly jerseys. They need a redesign of the redesign they did a couple years ago. I do love the Phillies home white with the red pinstripes. Some of the best in baseball.

Yes the stupid Yankees pinstripe jersey is one of the best. Canadiens is nice but I have never considered it a top jersey. Raiders silver and black is classic.

When we were kids playing street hockey in the 1970s one kid on the block had a Ken Dryden jersey. We were all jealous.

I have a funny story about Ken Dryden. As you may or may not know, around 20 years ago he ran for office for the Liberal party of Canada and was a sitting member of parliament (our version of congress) for a number of years.

This was soon after I finished college and I was working in downtown Toronto. I couldn't afford to park in downtown Toronto at the time so I used to park at the subway station closest to where I lived and take the subway to work. The day after Dryden was first elected to parliament, he was standing in front of the stairwell that led to the southbound (going downtown) trains greeting people. I walked up to him and he said I'm Ken Dryden, nice to meet you, thank you for your vote. I said "well I didn't vote for you but it is nice to meet a hockey legend".

The Liberal Party wasn't that insane at that time so I don't really hold a grudge against Ken for being a member. Paul Martin (the last sane Liberal prime minister and former finance minister who actually believed you had to have some sense of fiscal responsibility was the head of the party at the time). Then they lost two elections in a row to Harper and decided after the success of Obama in the US, they needed a young, fresh, farther left leader to capture the youth and urban vote that was moving ever farther left.

I don't know. If your man Tavares runs for office under a Trudeau government after he stops playing I think I will hold it against him. Even though most Canadians, especially in the greater Toronto area have been following his career since he was 15 and they were changing the rules in the OHL so he could play.
