Day 100. Wow, I really need to get a hobby. I guess this is my hobby.

Really appreciate everyone that has participated in these posts over the past 100 days. I assume I will get bored of this at some point, but hopefully we will have a sports sub or custom sub ability by then and there will be organic sports discourse on SN that I can partake in.

Anyways, in the meantime, we march forward. Our MLB playoff bracket challenge and divisional round pick em is looking kind of rough. Upstart Orioles just weren't ready and the Dodgers pitching was a mess. I expect the Braves to push it to game 5 but the Phillies look like the team to beat to me. The Astros are the Astros. There is a reason they have gone to 7 straight league championship series. The battle of Texas should be exciting and it will be interesting to see if the Dbacks can put up a fight against whatever juggernaut comes out of the Phillies/Braves series.

NHL had a bunch of games last night and because Canadians are crazy about hockey, every sports channel had hockey on, so I did watch some of the Canadiens v.s Leafs game. Sadly, the Leafs won in a shootout.

TNF looks like it is going to be a bloodbath. I don't think we will see another 70-20 blowout but I will be surprised if the Chiefs don't win by at least 3 touchdowns. Shill me your score prediction for tonight's game. Tomorrow's post will be the weekly NFL pick em contest and your chance to take down the two time defending champ @Undisciplined

It's you guys I have to thank. I started it as a joke/for fun because I kept annoying k00b about creating a sports sub. I really didn't think anyone was going to respond and I definitely didn't think we would be doing pools and weekly contests. It's been a lot of fun.

I am sitting at my computer drinking coffee talking about sports and bitcoin on the internet. Hardly working my friend. Especially compared to the schedule and tasks I used to undertake. Haha.

At some point, I will need to rejoin the real world in some capacity but until then I will enjoy my sabbatical from the grind and hang out on SN.

Divisional games can be kind of weird. I wouldn't be surprised if the Broncos keep it closer than anyone expects, because the Chiefs aren't taking it seriously. I would be even less surprised if the Chiefs take the opportunity to kick a division rival when their down, though.

Prediction: 42-13 Chiefs

It's a Thursday night game too. Short week. Chiefs probably just want to get it over with, get the W and move on without anyone getting hurt.

yeah my mlb picks have been a dumpster fire so far. still holding out hope the braves can get it done against the phillies.

i don't know what the final score will be in the chiefs game tonight, but let's just say i think they'll cover the 10.5 spread comfortably.

i don't follow the nhl, so i have nothing to contribute there, but congrats on 100 days of stacker sports! it's been a ride

I consider myself somewhat of an MLB aficionado and my picks right from the beginning of this year have been awful so you aren't the only one. Bit of a crazy season.

I try not to follow the NHL much but I know a few stackers are big fans so I am going to keep up with it this season.

If you're getting sick of hosting the Meta Takeover solo, maybe some of us can pick up the slack with occasional posts.

I'd also say that you're putting in a bit of overtime, by not using the survivor pools and pick 'ems as their days takeover post.

Stacker Sports- Meta Takeover is open source my friend if you want to post something have at it. I will add that to today's post so everyone is aware. The whole idea was to mimic the conversations we would have in a sub until we got a sub. Ok, actually the whole idea was to troll k00b but then the whole idea was to mimic conversations in a sub. Which of course would include multiple posters.

Before I started doing the daily posts I did think creating a clone site of Stacker News but sports related was the way to go and then promote the crap out of it on other sports message boards (get rewarded for your hot takes over at stacker sports kind of thing) but when they rolled out subs and k00b mentioned he was looking at ways for users to create custom subs I figured a second site was unnecessary, let k00b and team build the shell and the tools and let the SN community steer the ship.
