Back in 2016 I wrote a short blog post about "Thunder" see announcement on Wayback Machine. See blog post here: http://satoshitimes.wikidot.com/blog:19 Bear in mind that was during the Blocksize Wars, BTC vs. BCH. And, the can-you-purchase-coffee-test was the go to standard for usability. Maybe it still is? Or still should be?
With Lightning gaining traction (here, nostr, elsewhere?), the question occurred to me recently, "Is Lightning just Thunder 2.0?" A little quick digging seems to answer the question, "Yes, it was an early or first attempt at Lightning."
So, then, I'm thinking, "Wow, it's taken a while for that traction to start kicking in." But, at least things are kicking.
