And now, the All-Star game where they don't even play the sport in which they are stars. It's like if the NBA All-Star game were turned into a cornhole match.

I want to see a 4pt line and a 5pt line in the NBA all star game. It's already a sideshow, go full out.
With a 5 point line Curry might win the MVP with 100 points if he gets hot.

We talked about a 4-point spot last year. That would be fun to see in the All-Star game. I don't want to see anymore lines on the court, though. Maybe shots from the backcourt could be worth 5 points.

Yeah, I recall that discussion. Are they doing that midseason tournament this year?

The midseason tournament is woven into the regular season schedule. Tuesday and Friday games are tournament games in the first part of the season. Whoever has the best tournament standing, then goes on to play the championship rounds.
I think they set it up so that all of the tournament games are matchups that were going to happen during the season anyway.
