I use Liquid too.
I use it to lose the KYC trace, as an alternative to coinjoins.

Your anon set is dog shit and way worse off than using coinjoins. Your swap in and outs are heavily linked through timing and amount analysis and the peg outs only work by using a centralized custodian.

I'm aware of timing and amount analysis, it can easily be broken. Peg X amount in, peg Y amount out at later time.
The peg outs take seconds, I don't mind entrusting a small amount of corn to a custodian for that long.

Blockstream is legally liable to reveal you activity on their network.

It's open source and it's not even owned by Blockstream.

Every member in that list is AML KYC liable.
Blockstream started and continues to run Liquid,
https://blog.blockstream.com/en-liquid-new-members-and-integrations/
It was only open-sourced recently, and there is no guarantee what is revealed is what is running in the background or what logs and associations are being kept.
Privacy is not one of their selling points.

Like so many other projects orthogonal to bitcoin, it's a tool in your toolbox that you should know how to use in case you have a need at some point. Like everything in life, it comes with a set of trade-offs - understand what those are and then you can make informed choices :-)

It's good to have Liquid. It's running for a good while, which is great to ensure it is tested well. It will come in handy at one point.
I'm excited for the possibility to run Lightning on Liquid, which could interoperate with Lightning on Bitcoin. It would be less secure but much cheaper Liquid Lightning network for everyday use perhaps. I don't know what future needs will be...

The most common way is to use side swap app.
Blockchain has resources on how to procure and use Liquid.
Search “Blockstream Liquid “ or what is liquid blockstream

I've never used Liquid... I think because:
- I didn't meet the need (I've been using Lightning and on-chain)
- I don't really trust companies (but I'm OK with users)
