I've been giving myself a little bit of breathing room the last few days. I'm still working long days but took down the intensely.

I've been doing 80 hour weeks for 3 months now ... the original goal was four 80 hour weeks, then 4 days off, and repeat, but I never took the 4 days off lol.

Back to more intense work today doing final touches on personalized feeds.

It's good to give yourself a break. Burnout is very real.

reply

Oh for sure it is. I've been there. I'm not burned out this time though. I'm extremely energized emotionally yet physically exhausted.

Anyone interested to review or test is very welcome.

I recently realized I can solve a lengthy workflow a coworker of mine does with a funny iframes and some javascript basic maths and give him a .html file that he just needs to double click and click through.

I wonder how much of the world economy can be optimized with simple stuff like this

Since covid thing started I was not really able to increase my income. Therefore, I am calculating where I can cut more from the expenses. Many things dropped from the list. But after all, I don't mind. I made lot of money before and spent it on things that don't really matter (at least to me). For example my food choices changed a lot. I buy less food but much healthier. I think it is a nice improvement. Moreover, in summer I plant more vegetables and fruits to grow which I did not do before. Makes me feel happy and by the way I like to do it. I also do not pay more insurance on cars anymore. And again, I don't mind. I may drive lowlier but safely and it is still fine. After all, I do not think my life got worse just because my income did not grow.. btc holdings still going crazy compare to any other investment this year.

I've just set up a DDNS service so I can access my server remotely using a static host name even when my IP address changes.
