Hello stackers! I recently built nostr crossposting into stackernews as an option for discsussion posts.
I'm hoping to get some feedback on your experience and what you would like to see next before I get started building out the next phase of improvements.
Supporting crossposting of other post types is definitely on my list but I want to get the core experience solid first and see what peoples impressions are, thank you!
Currently the implementation is quite simple:
- There is a checkbox under each discussion form to crosspost
- a checkbox in your settings to default to always crossposting disucssion items.
- Discussions are crossposted as nip-23 long form parameterized replaceable events
- We use nip-07 extension for signing
- If we fail to send your event to a specific relay we show you an error toast where you can retry or skip
- we use your NIP-05 relays if set
- otherwise we default to these relays:
- wss://nostrue.com/
- wss://relay.damus.io/
- wss://relay.nostr.band/
- wss://relay.snort.social/
- wss://nostr21.com/
