The trans moral panic thing reminds me of the 90s gay panic, where everyone would get AIDS, every school would turn your kids gay, abusive slurs were as commonplace in a church as they were in the office, and faux straight men would steal your daughter.

Less than 1% of the population is trans. I'm not sure how a crisis narrative has developed to where it seems like 50%. You'd swear they were everywhere around us tricking men, taking all the female roster spots, and calling our names from the sewers:
