Who were those guys dressed as the Chicago Bears in the first half last night? Must have been an early Halloween in Washington. Makes sense with all the vampires and zombies just a ways away at the Capitol Building.
Actually a more entertaining game than I expected going in considering it was Bears v.s Commanders.
Thanks to everyone who has entered the MLB Divisional Playoff pick em contest. Games don't start until tomorrow so you still have time to join in if you haven't already done so.
It's Friday so weekly NFL pick 'em will be posted shortly.
Sats for all.
Cheers, GR
Dodged a bullet by taking the phins instead of backing the Commies like I wanted to. Phew. If I'd have been knocked out by a division rival... well... I may never have recovered.

I hate picking Thursday games. Commanders didn't show up until the second half. Mounted a bit a of a comeback but after the missed field goal they were doomed had to start swinging for the fences and then Bears just ran away with it.
reply
Yep Thursday games always seem to just be weird.

With the excitement of ongoing NFL and MLB games, we haven't discussed the Jrue Holiday trade in the NBA. It happened right after we submitted our preseason power rankings.
I'm curious if people think it's as big of a deal as I do. To me, the Celtics are now right behind Denver and slightly ahead of the Bucks. The irony though, is that they might be even more vulnerable to Miami's bullying, after what Jimmy Butler did to Holiday in the playoffs last year.
New Rankings
  1. Nuggets
  2. Celtics
  3. Bucks
  4. Lakers
  5. Warriors
  6. Heat

Interesting. Definitely an impact player. Celtics and Bucks are a coin flip to me but I do think Celtics matchup well with Bucks in a 7 game series.

Historically, no one guards Giannis better than Horford and no one guards Dame better than Jrue.
Playoff matchups might be super important between the Celtics/Bucks/Heat: Heat > Celtics (psychological domination), Celtics > Bucks (defensive matchups), Bucks > Heat (no answer for Dame).

I missed the opening flurry, but the ending was more dramatic than I expected.

I am still not sure if the Bears looked great in first half or the Commanders D was a disaster or a bit of both.
reply
Despite not seeing it, I'm always more willing to believe the C-words were a disaster than that the Bears were good.

Maybe I would answer if it weren't a full moon night, exciting
