This is still a work in progress, but I am glad people like it!
Since I read the Who Funds Bitcoin Development piece by BitMex I’ve been thinking of building a project showcasing who funds Bitcoin development. Polylunar already tracks grants but I was thinking of something with cool visualizations that could possibly provide more value to the community.
My ambition is to evolve this into an exploration tool of the Bitcoin open-source ecosystem. Showcasing who funds Bitcoin development and what developers are working on.
It would be awesome to get your feedback and thoughts on this. I'll soon publish to GitHub for anyone eager to contribute data.

I like the mind map format! Is there a way to see the name of each individual and organization?

Same. I wish I could drill down and see who the individuals are. A link to the gh/twitter profile would be enough really.

If you click on a devs image, then on the top left of the profile pop-up these links appear, e.g. GitHub and Twitter profiles

It didn’t do that for me in Brave on my laptop yesterday, but it just worked on my phone in safari.

Noted! I still need to test on different browsers and put some work to make it mobile friendly.

That's probably why it didn't work for me either. I'm using Brave too.

Awesome visualisation!
Amazing to see a human rights NGO (HRF) as a top contributor to Bitcoin development. They sponsor more devs than the biggest public company on there (Coinbase). Coinbase's 2022 Q1 loss alone is probably an order of magnitude larger than the HRF's entire budget 😂

This was really informative. Even tho brink supports a significant amount of developers, brink itself is funded by many different organisations

Pretty cool website. I love websites where you can explore things like that. Reminds me of connectedpapers.com.
For now it's still a little empty without the whole infrastructure around the Bitcoin world. And missing a few Rich people that are probably connecting dots in the background. Also, some entities still have Lorem Ipsum description.
