I dont buy the "we need to help the miners" fud. Its being used to pump new bips which aren't needed.

The mining of btc relies on supply demand. If its not profitable they will stop doing it. They dont need to be subsidized.

Also, the price of btc moves. Getting a 800 btc block reward when bitcoin was 0.50$ is worse than 3 btc when its worth 30k.

Stop it with the miner fud.
