And that’s an interesting statement about reverse immigration - kinda where my short story was headed. In this case; A man treading water, minding his own business, yet being blown backwards by his government & inflation.

No pressure at all. I would publish it here and I’m not sure anyone else would be interested. I have a lot of competing demands at the moment but I may revisit it soon. Along with a poetry piece I told you about ‘Growl’.
I like that. I think about immigration and its impact on families generationally a lot. This isn't the place to fully discuss it, but my mother's family's immigration story from southern Italy to New York City was really crazy, a little funny, but ultimately devastating

My great grandfather made it to 101. He had a backwards immigration experience, where he went from wealth to poverty. By the time he hit his mid 90s the skin on his hands was almost completely transparent.
