Would love to see some analysis comparing monero to cashu. Where are the gaps, how close to trivially private Bitcoin transactions has this project got?
Theoretically, cashu has the same level of privacy that physical cash does. Ecash is completely anonymous and untraceable, so long as you are transacting in the ecash. Once you swap out of it onto LN or mainchain you face some privacy implications, although I am not as knowledgeable on what those consist of.
